P12 Jetpack Will Be Available To Buy In two years for $200k

New Zealand-based Martin Aircraft's latest re-design of its Jetpack—the P12, technically still a prototype, the P12 is promised to be very close to the final version of the Martin Jetpack that could be available commercially sometime in mid-2014. As for pricing, it’s predictably high. The Martin Jetpack will cost anywhere between $150,000 and $250,000, excluding the cost of premium gas as well as any costs associated with getting a sports license in the U.S., and purchasing the necessary flying equipment. The P12 is said to reach a top speed of 46 mph, with a max flight time of around 30 minutes.
"The Martin Jetpack is the result of inspiration and many years of development work by Glenn Martin and an enthusiastic team of engineers and other experts. It uses sophisticated composites and a highly efficient propulsion system to achieve the goal of personal flight, with many safety features including a ballistic parachute.
Originally designed with the leisure market in mind, the Martin Jetpack has found strong demand from a wide range of markets, including military, civil defence and recreation. It is in the final stages of development for the first commercial customers, mainly Government users such as Search and Rescue and Police."
