printer ink cartridges

Ink cartridges for printers are essentially detachable sealed unites containing a unique kind of processed ink used by a printer when it starts functioning. Printer ink cartridges will usually have one or multiple sectioned ink reservoirs. Some technologically advanced cartridges are also seen with the print head and the electronic chip which is helpful in communication with the unit for higher precision and efficiency.

As far as ink cartridges are concerned, there are essentially two main designs. These are piezoelectric and thermal designs. Printers that are used for business or home like the LaserJet M1212nf will be using the thermal inkjet cartridges. The ink container of these ink cartridges comprise of a heating element fitted with a small metal resistor or plate seen in each of the reservoir sections.
