Yahoo Answers Gets A Refresh And Climbs Out Of Neglect With New Features

The new Yahoo Answers is being advertised as better, faster and simpler. After many years of neglect, it looks the part. Yahoo Answers in its prime was one of the best question and answer websites. Even Google could not beat this one. Now, the sweeping winds of change around Yahoo have finally touched one of its popular assets. The new user experience starts with the color – purple.
For now, the new Yahoo Answers is being rolled out first in the U.S. So, users elsewhere won’t get to enjoy the revamped interface and the new features riding with it. The new Yahoo Answers gives you a personalized homepage with points, levels, and the entire stream. This is the jumping off point into the remainder of the site. The new Answers brings in the “social” with features like the Reference Questions. Reference Questions are where you can continue to share your knowledge even after it has been chosen as the best answer.
Richer content – with images up to 5MB and videos up to 600 MB and 5 minutes duration should make Yahoo Answers more engaging. The Content curation could get a fillip with features like the Search Assist, improved navigation, and intelligent recommendations. With its redesign, Yahoo Answers is responsive on smartphones too. Take a walkthrough with the new Yahoo Answers and the video below.
